As oppression and the stifling of civil liberties bring out stronger dissent from the people, so will emerge the witticisms of the youth.

On September 21—46 years since Marcos ushered in the dark days of dictatorship—the ‘woke’ generation took their hashtags and their rage to the streets and joined the crowd of martial law veterans, peasants, workers, and indigenous people to shout ‘Never again to martial law!’
